This… piece is amazing. HaLo did his thing while vivid visuals played with our heads and the beat just poured out. Everything from the lyrical content to the shorts clips of tigers, queens and owls was something that we don’t normally see in a video but wow was it great to have seen it now. Another Jamla Records Jenius (see… ha!) HaLo is worthy of a complete and dedicated listen to his project ‘The Blind Poet‘, bravo on the video Price Films.

Dice Beats Remix’s Kanye’s Mercy

The homie Dice took Kanye’s Mercy track and Juked it out with some bass to get ya jumping. The song really shines when it kicks the slow tempo bouncy tropic feel. I don’t usually post remixes (2 posts today alone haha) but when it reinvents the song it’s worth it especially if it sounds like this. I just whipped up a quick cover for the track too… enjoy.

Ages is Alpha Pup’s newest artist out of Cali and he just released a cover to the awesome ‘Fog‘ by Nosaj Thing. It’s a haunting yet beautifully laced classic guitar providing the drifting mind a perfect place to rest. His debut album comes out on June 19, 2012 on Alpha Pup Records, they say “Bryan is a spacious work of ambient textures, hypnotic loops and washes of silken sounds”… I likes already. The B-Boys SlumGods were in Delhi keeping Hip-Hop going with the old school essence on the walls and floors in the event Extension Khirkee, also the homie Mandeep Sethi provided the soundscape (Rafi Lights) to the video above. It’s amazing to see the similarities from a house jam Sedgwick Avenue to Delhi on the same plane, this is what’s soo powerful about Hip-Hop… it knows no country lines. Keep spreading the music and showcasing the rest of the pillars of Hip-Hop in India homies!

KeilyN’s ‘Timing’ Is Fantastic

‘Timing’ is key and KeilyN‘s latest album, it’s an honest view on his career and life in general also this being his sophomore contribution it has great potential and good positive growth for the young artist. Ohio has had it’s fair share of emcees that have come to the light for the past 2 years and KeilyN makes good with his flow and production which also includes the great SoulKlap. This artist also has good co-sign from our Giant bro’s at The Higher Plane, purveyors of great Hip-Hop and shows the gusto of the Ohio emcee. He also pays homage to J Dilla on some of JD’s beats which always sound great when mixed in with a good artist. I enjoyed this album a good amount and have to pull out my late pass on this but am definitely glad I finally got here. Looking forward to hearing more of KeilyN’s music and the soundtrack to wherever his career may take him.

GUTS Mashup of Los Yoyi and Arrested Development

Another great submission, this one comes from Spain via GUTS and a interesting mashup between cuban group Los Yuyi and Arrested Development. These are one of those weird gems I would’ve never thought to be just because of the nature of both groups, but glad that GUTS got to it. See below what he has to say on this track.

“Here, a mash-up that should have been present in my last ” Pura-Mixtape 5 ” but the CD’s timing of 80 minutes does not permit it to me.
It’s a mix between one of the most amazing Cuban tracks, Grupo Los Yoyi “El Fino” and the timeless’ track of Arrested Development “Fishin ’4 Religion”
